MERF is a certified not-for-profit organization (NPO) under Section 2(36) of Income Tax Ordinance 2001 with National Tax Number (NTN) 7212843-0.

MERF is also certified by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), which is certification body for non-government organizations working in Pakistan with PCP Certificate number: Charity Registration No. PCP-R3/2023/465
