Through awareness sessions, I’ve been able to share important information about nutrition and the benefits of breastfeeding. These sessions have created a safe space for mothers to ask questions, share their experiences, and learn from one another. It’s been heartwarming to see so many women eager to improve their families’ health. The impact we're creating inspire me every day. I am grateful for this group and the chance to contribute to a healthier future for our children.

I have worked with different NGOs during emergencies like floods, but I never had a proper platform to address these issues comprehensively. MERF’s initiative to form the CHC gave us the structure and knowledge we needed to take our work seriously. Now, with close coordination between Peer Support Groups and BHU staff, we can identify health issues early and ensure proper referrals. I am grateful to the SIGN Project team for providing us with this platform.

The qualified medical staff here made my delivery easier by providing high-quality care. I will tell the people in my community to come to this hospital in case of emergencies because they are available 24/7 and offer free medications.
Halima
17-year-old, Halima shared her experience of giving birth at DHQ Hospital Chaman (ECHO Project)
When I learned about the free health services at Tiarza Main Hospital, I visited with my daughter who was very sick. At the hospital, local community workers and female staff guided me on importance of proper nutrition and timely vaccinations. Their support made a significant difference in my daughter’s recovery, and this free treatment has been a great blessing for a poor family like ours.

I was hesitant about vaccinating my child due to concerns about side effects. But the outreach workers of MERF patiently listened to my fears and explained how vaccines will protect my child from serious diseases, especially in our high-risk area. After their guidance, I agreed to vaccinate my child, and today I am grateful for the decision. My child is healthy, and I encourage other parents to do the same.

I was born in Mishti Mela. Since the operationalization of the Mishti Mela Hospital, the doctors and staff have served the community very well. Previously, the local communities faced huge difficulties as they were forced to take their patients to other areas and the health services there were not good. Now they get all the services from this hospital. If the hospital is kept running in this way, it will be very beneficial for the local population. I pray for their (MERF) success.

My wife was handled with great care by capable and cooperative medical staff of the Tor Baba dispensary. We were also provided free of cost medication. This dispensary is a great blessing for people of our area as most of them are poor and cannot afford costly treatment provided at private hospitals.

My daughter age 24 months was very weak at the time of birth. We were worried about her health. When MERF’s team visited our area and educated us about malnutrition and its impacts we became very anxious. After provision of RUTF by MERF’s team her health has improved. We are satisfied with MERF’s efforts in our area for tackling malnutrition in children and mothers.

My son was very weak and sick. I was clueless and did not know where to take him. In these dire circumstances Mr Zain, Nutrition Assistant at MERF, assessed my son with MUAC tape, identified him as malnourished and told me to take him to the nearest OTP site for treatment. After receiving treatment at the OTP site my son got better. The staff of OTP site asked us to visit weekly for checkup and receive the RUTF until my son’s complete recovery. After regular intake of RUTF the health of my son has improved and he has gained weight.
